I WANT TO GO HOME - GORDON KORMAN

HELLO,
Summer time means "Summer Camp" experiences for many of us. Rudy Miller, the main character in Gordon Korman's "I Want to go Home" is in for the camp experience of his life... or will it be? I'm, looking forward to reading this novel with you in class!!! It's one of my favorite grade 4 books, I laugh everytime I read it!

Meanwhile, if you had to describe your ideal summer camp what would it be like ? Please write all about your camp in the COMMENT section.

    IF I went to my dream summer camp there would be... Art in this camp, there would also be swimming, nightly campfires and cooking. In my dreams that would be my dream camp.

    If I had a choice to go to camp I would like to go to riding camp because I love horses. It would be a good opportunity to lean more about horses.

    My favorite camp would be where you have to build your own derby car and at the end of the month you would race all the derby cars you made.

    My kind of camp is about animals, plants and books. That is what kind of camp I would like to go to.

    My ideal summer camp would be a camp with a pool and fun games to play. There would a water slide, horse rides and much more fun...

    My ideal camp is 4 weeks long. It has ice and mini stick hockey, soccer, video games, swimming and target practice with bow and arrows.

    This story reminded me about my camp. There was this girl who was crazy and who wanted to leave... but there was a water slide and so many things... so why did she want to leave?

    I would like to have a camp that has electricity and art. It would also have an electric ball that we you touch and make your hair go wild and stuff like that. For the art, we would use clay and paper mache and stuff that makes you messy. Every Friday we would go on a water slide at the camp.

    My way to camp is in the summer. I go in summer so I can go fishing to by myself. I also go hunting by myself too. But mostly, I like to go camping to shoot bow and arrows.

    If I could invent my summer camp I would have a class of swimming and cooking. There would also be sports to do and there would be a place to buy stuff. Outside there would be water slides.

    I want to have a camp that you can go to that has everything I want. Everyone can go to this camp, so I hope they like the things that I do. When you have a birthday, you can do anything you want and you can even go home and bring all of your friends. Of course, you must come back to camp the next day. I hope you like my camp! have lots of fun!

    The ideal would be a camp that is all about video games you play video games all day. You go to bed at 12 at night and wake up at 12 in the morning. And when you wake up your bed turns into a car and drives you to breakfast then it disappears. Then to get back in your bed you use a giant slingshot. After you play video games.

    My ideal camp is a dance camp. You would stay for 2 months. The first month you would learn dances from around the world. The second month you would make a dance up. The last day if you want you would perform.

    It would be like sport's camp and day camp. The perfect camp is sport's camp they would let us play hockey, everybody has a hockey stick to score a goal on the goalie. You have to bring your own food because they don't have any food. The cafeteria ran out of food because the cook isn't there! This is the best sport's camp ever.

    My favorite kind camp would be a sports camp. We would play sports all day like...Basketball, Soccer, Team Hand ball and much more! I would love that camp so much!

    My dream camp would be an arts and sports camp. We would paint after breakfast, we would do pottery after lunch and draw after supper. But that would only be on Monday. The rest of the week we would play sports like, hockey, soccer, basketball, football and rugby. That would be the best camp ever!!!:)

    My ideal camp is an amusement park camp with roller coasters and bumper cars. All day long you can play all day and night!

    My camp would be a camp where you eat dinner there and we would have activities like soccer,make-up,water fights, baseball, softball, oatmeal fights, water balloons, tennis, art club, scrap booking and all kinds of other things. That would be how I would like it to be. So if someone would not like to play baseball they could play soccer.

    My ideal camp is in the real outdoors. We would be sleeping in tents and camp in the forest. We would go to the beach to see the sunrise and sunset. Then eat at the camp fire. We would go sight seeing, that sort of stuff is what I like.

    My summer camp would be in the quiet woods.
    There would be lots of animals exploring the camp
    like: Horses,deers and other animals too!
    That's what I would like!!
