Sleeping Lily
Once upon a time a baby named Lily lived in a village. She was born in her house and lived there with her Mother and Father. On the day of her birth a witch said that on her sixteenth birthday an old woman would sneak into her room and put a poison necklace in her jewellery box. When the Mother and Father heard what the witch said they told the King and Queen to burn all of the necklaces. Then sixteen years later Lily went for a walk in the forest to find her three fairy friends and she did not find them. By mistake Lily bumped into the prince of the village and Lily ran away from the prince. When Lily ran away the witch saw the prince following her. She knew that he would someday go back to find her. So the witch put tall thorn bushes around the village so the prince could not go to find Lily. Meanwhile the old woman that was the witch snuck into Lily’s room and put a poison necklace in Lily’s jewellery box. The next day Lily put on the necklace and fell into a trance. That same day the prince came looking for Lily. When the prince got there he saw that around the village there were tall thorn bushes. Lily’s fairy friends saw that the prince could not get into the village. So they gave the prince a sword and a shield and the prince started to cut through the tall thorn bushes. After a while he got to the village and saw that everyone was asleep and he went to Lily’s house. When he got there he saw that Lily was in some kind of trance. He took the necklace off of her to remember her. As he took the necklace off Lily woke up and all of the people in the village woke up as well. The witch died, Lily and the Prince got married and they all lived happily ever after. THE END BY: Kassandra and Brynne
